What difference does it make? He's innocent and he's going to die, and I might too, and we're no closer to figuring any of this out. We have three bodies, no culprits, and a huge mess tomorrow!

Precisely. Tomorrow will be phenomenally difficult, and for that reason, you can't let yourself waste away now. Be angry, and use that anger to help us solve this, but don't deny yourself comfort where you can find it, either.
