No. Besides the fact that I really am not, like, cut out for murder, it'd be pretty dumb to be the first jackass to go and murder someone. Like that's just asking for death, which I try to avoid usually.

Based on you guys' situations this morning, I've sort of ruled you both out as the killer, for the record. I mean, unless one of you wants to correct me.

No, we didn't have anything to do with it. [She doesn't bother checking with Nico; he can speak for himself if she's wrong. ...but she doesn't think she is.] But people are going to be grasping at straws if if things aren't easy to figure out tomorrow. Nico and I may come under suspicion simply because we were outside when you all were in your rooms.

Which I still don't understand, by the way. [Piping up finally even as he continues to watch Magnus closely.] Nobody's still sure how we and those other people ended up scattered through the castle, right?

[But he shrugs in Magnus's direction.] Thanks for not being a murderer.

Maybe that was why? To throw us off of the actual killer. It doesn't seem too wild for the killer to have left their room and come back, all things considered. Plus it's just confused the whole stupid thing.

I'd assume the murderer dragged you guys and the others to those places-- or had some kind of help.

If that's the case, they managed to get around curfew.

I only just made it into my dormitory room before the doors locked. I tested it myself — there wasn't any way out once we were locked in.

They also managed to remove me from my room without my roommate or our visitor noticing. The question is, how? Who would be capable of providing them with that sort of assistance?

Zelos was hanging around before curfew. He was still in the common room when the doors locked, so it seemed safer to have him stay in our room... just in case.

The point is, whoever it was got me out of there when there should have been two pairs of eyes watching, not just one. I want to know how.

Anyway. [Haha, so moving on.] You guys make a good point with the titles. I don't know if a lot of people have really looked into those yet. Do you think...we should at least tell each other what titles we have?

[ there's a small eyebrow raise and a glance at each of them. good job, now he thinks nico has a crush on reyna. partially because that's jack the swords unheard suggestion.

Has anyone's roommates mentioned seeing simething during the night? Of the people found unconscious. I mean. Maybe they're waiting for the trial thing tomorrow, but.

Not that I've heard, but like you said... they might be waiting.

[It sure would be nice if they could get all that information now, but she knows from experience that when you really need something, it doesn't just fall into your lap. It has to be earned. That was true back home, and she can't see why it wouldn't be true here.

Reyna looks vaguely uneasy about the idea of sharing their titles, but... It's Nico and Magnus. Even if Magnus has bad intentions (and he shouldn't, since he's Annabeth's cousin), she can Nico together could take him. There's a pause as she scans their surroundings to make sure no one is listening, but...

And two of those people they found unconscious were partners which makes it even worse. So that makes it even less helpful. [Still...trust exercises are a thing and Reyna mentions her title...before Nico lets out a short laugh.]

Or so they say. I don't see any reason why that wouldn't be the case - at least, not if they're trying to create an even playing field.

No, I wasn't sure how it would turn out-- didn't want to risk it being super obvious and giving it away. Not that it's super useful?

Mine's not as useful as it could be, either, but I'm trying to come up with ways I might be able to use it. I can spin straw into gold.

But I'm pretty sure it's not Imperial gold. If I can find somewhere with a hot enough fire, I might be able to make weapons from it, though.

I can repair cloth-- clothing, tapestries, whatever I guess. So, if either of you rips a shirt, I guess come to me?

[That's useful if they ever decide to like. Murder someone. And their clothing gets ripped. Ideally they won't have to do that, though, so she doesn't bring up the possibility.

Reyna nods, committing it to memory, and looks to Nico.]
