It's true. I found at least one other person who suffered a similar injury at the hands of the well.

It seems none of us exercised enough caution. A thought we should keep in mind should we choose to utilize the well's gifts again.

I wished for the one thing I wanted most, and received these scars instead. There might not be anything else that well can give to me.

It may not be capable of granting that. Or maybe it's some kind of a message - "focus on what's in front of you." ...if what you want most has to do with something from your home, anyway.

Perhaps that is what I should have wished for instead. It would've been far more useful, in the long run. Or-- if not something to take the war apart, then a hint on how to end it.

I can't fault anyone for wishing for what they want, no matter how useful it might or might not be. Wishes are personal.

I suppose you're right. They are extremely personal. And not every personal desire is something that benefits the good of the whole.

weeps i fell asleep after work last night... you were spared again
